Facing Our Problems Isn’t Easy….

Facing Our Problems Isn\’t Easy….

This short video is the result of the final project of the youth of the Barrio, Arts, Culture, & Communications Academy (BACCA), a high school after school program of the Puerto Rican Cultural Center in Humboldt Park, Chicago. The premise of the film is to show a situation – one among many – in which young people in the community find themselves: whether to forget their problems and responsibilities by drinking and partying or face them with ease and determination. The video also includes interviews from high school students on the alternatives to underage drinking.

Written by Edwin Diaz Jr, Priscilla Rodriguez, and Mary Davila
Directed by Matt MCcanna and Xavier “Xavi” Luis Burgos
