The Batey Urbano was the site of this year’s 15th Annual Pancake Waffle Breakfast fundraiser sponsored by the Friends of the Puerto Rican Cultural Center. From 9:30-12:30, over 200 people ate a delicious vegetarian breakfast and listened to videos of the Puerto Rican political prisoners, Carlos Alberto Torres and Oscar Lopez Rivera, and were treated to a 1 scene preview of the upcoming play, Crime Against Humanity. Those present also participated in a holiday artisans bazaar organized by the National Boricua Human Rights Network.
