Washing hands is a important part of kids’ daily routine. They wash their hands when they arrive to school, before eating, after they use the bathroom, when they wake up from naps and when they come inside after a walk. It is important to teach kids why it is important to wash their hands. Being in a daycare environment, they know germs are not for sharing. They know their friends get sick and washing their hands and covering their mouth when they cough or sneeze, prevents them from getting sick.
