On Friday, January 16th, the Puerto Rican Cultural Center’s Affordable Care Act Team, along with the Region 02 Consortium’s Youth Committee, held the Open Mic Slam event at the Segundo Ruiz Belvis Cultural Center. It was a great bonding experience that engaged people from all ages, but especially the Committee’s target population: The Young Invincibles. Many joined us and shared their skills with the audience. There was music, dance, poetry, and delicious food. Some of our own surprised us with their hidden talents! It was a beautiful event that celebrated cultural diversity and the arts in a healthy environment.
