Edible garden was founded in 2009 by a group of students from Dr Pedro Albizu Campos High School and by the Juan Antonio Corretjer Puerto Rican Cultural Center (PRCC). It is located next to The National Museum of Puerto Rican Arts and Culture and serves as a learning site for parents and families to reconnect with traditional food cultivation and to identify organic gardening practice so they can build home gardens. This engagement reinforces the commitment to sustainable food production in the Humboldt Park Community.
