On March 3rd, 2008, the Puerto Rican Cultural Center launched a special year-long celebration entitled “Jornada 100×35”. The title not only symbolized the dimensions of the island of Puerto Rico- 100 miles by 35 miles- but also paid homage to the life and legacy of Puerto Rican patriot and National Poet, Juan Antonio Corretjer on his centennial, it also celebrated the 35th year of the founding of the Puerto Rican Cultural Center. For the past seven years, this celebration has continued, each year adding an additional year. On March 3rd, 2015, we will celebrate 100×35+7; marking the 107th anniversary of Juan Antonio Corretjer’s birth and the 43rd year of the founding of the Puerto Rican Cultural Center. We invite you to join us as we showcase our programs and we celebrate the three years of the opening of El Rescate on March 3rd, 2015.
