ORLANDO, FLORIDA -On October 14th, leaders of the Puerto Rican Diaspora in Orlando will convene leaders from across the country, including Reps. Nydia Velazquez, Luis Gutierrez, Jose Serrano. The two-day meeting will develop a national Puerto Rican agenda and provide actionable strategies to address the major issues facing stateside and island Puerto Ricans. The first meeting of the National Puerto Rican Agenda coalition will focus on the fiscal and healthcare crisis, climate change and infrastructure support, and human rights and civic engagement, all critical to the revitalization of the Island. A National Puerto Rican Agenda will serve as a guide for Puerto Ricans interested in taking an active role in the solutions and for elected officials advocating for the interests of Puerto Rico and the Diaspora.

Civic leaders, government officials from seven states, and other stakeholders are expected to attend.
