Heart disease is the leading cause of death for both men and women, but heart disease is preventable and controllable. February is American Heart Health Month and The Greater Humboldt Park Diabetes Empowerment Center is celebrating with the Love Your Healthy Heart event provided by the Keep Your Heart Healthy program on February 15, 2014 from 10:00AM to 2:00PM at 2753 W. Division St. There will be free heart health screenings provided to adults 18 years and older, a healthy cooking demonstration with tasty samples and fun Zumba dance aerobics so come dressed to move your body! Healthy snacks will be provided and there will be $50 Walgreen’s gift cards raffled.
