Angelica Alonso and Nathaniel Meadow have been coming for the past year to El Rescate to volunteer their time with the residents of El Rescate. This past week they presented a workshop run by UIC nursing students that provided inside information on the nursing program.

As mentors they have created an ongoing relationship of learning, dialogue and challenge with the residents. They also come every Friday to provide tutoring to help the residents manage their learning to maximize and develop their skills to improve their education.

Angelica and Nathaniel are 2 individuals that we want to recognize for their outstanding efforts. They give selflessly and without boundaries their time, knowledge, and efforts to the residents of El Rescate.
