September 7-9, 1979 a National Moratorium took place in NYC that included a demonstration down 2nd Avenue as well as a mobilization to the Nations. Speakers included representatives of the Black, Mexican, Native American and Puerto Rican movements. Angel Rodríguez Cristobal, assassinated two months later in Tallahassee, FL FDC., also attended the event. A slideshow of the different events can be seen here.
