Renowned author of children’s books with Puerto Rican themes visited Chicago to read in classrooms at Yates Elementary and at Centro Infantil. Dr. Ortiz conducted several readings in classrooms at Yates using her recent publication, “Vicki and a summer of Change, Vicki y Un Verano de Cambio” An accompanying coloring book was also provided to each student.
